## Direct Answer

Stripe provides a Billing migration toolkit for importing subscriptions, including migrations from an existing Stripe account. Stripe Customer Data Copy can copy eligible customer and payment-method data, but it does not copy Subscription objects. Cross-account migration therefore creates new destination subscriptions; it does not move the original Stripe Subscription objects.

MoveMRR adds a controlled two-account workflow around that recreation: mappings, readiness checks, dry runs, configurable source deactivation, reconciliation, ID exports, and an audit record for buyer and seller.

## Important Limits

- Eligible customer and payment-method data can be copied by Stripe in the background.
- Zero customer action is not guaranteed for every customer. Unsupported payment methods, missing default payment methods, issuer declines, or SCA can require follow-up.
- A migration creates new destination Subscription IDs. Applications, local ID mappings, entitlements, and account-specific credentials must be handed over deliberately.
- Stripe webhook endpoints can optionally be recreated on the destination account. Stripe issues a new signing secret for every newly created endpoint, so those consumers must be re-deployed with the new secret; MoveMRR reports exactly which endpoints are affected and never stores the secret value.
- Sandbox projects use Stripe test keys, are free, and have no run or subscription limit. Sandbox seeding recreates a live catalog and subscription shapes in a Stripe sandbox; it does not create customers there, which come from Stripe's own Customer Data Copy, and sandbox payment methods are Stripe test cards.
- Transferring ownership of the existing Stripe account can be an alternative in some acquisitions. Confirm legal-entity and country changes with Stripe Support.

- Raw card numbers are not handled by MoveMRR; eligible payment credentials are copied by Stripe
