A Stripe subscription migration is ready for detailed planning when the source and destination account decision is settled, customer and payment-method handling has been checked, the product and price catalog can be mapped, application dependencies have an owner, and the team has a rehearsal and cutover plan. The readiness checker turns those questions into a consistent score without connecting to Stripe. The compatibility matrix then helps you inspect billing states that need explicit treatment, such as trials, past-due subscriptions, schedules, tax settings, coupons, multiple items, and metered billing.
Neither resource decides whether a particular saved payment method can be copied or guarantees that customers will never need to act. They are planning aids for identifying unanswered questions before production data or renewal timing is at risk.

METHOD & LIMITS
The checker applies disclosed weights to nine planning controls and calculates the result locally in your browser. It does not upload account information, inspect Stripe objects, or produce an eligibility decision. A higher score means more of the listed planning controls have a clear answer; it does not measure migration success probability.
Treat “not sure” as useful evidence. Follow it with the customer-data copy explanation , the application handover checklist , or the SaaS acquisition workflow . When the open questions are resolved, repeat the assessment and keep the answers with the migration runbook.
